• Question: will apes evolve into humans

      Evolution is a really slow process, where organisms survive better if they are more suitable to survive in their environment. So nature selects how apes evolve. I suppose there is a potential that in many many years apes could become more human-like if environmental pressures selected for that.

      I doubt it – evolution depends upon many environmental factors (oxygen levels, temperature, humidity, food sources etc), and the environmental factors that are around now are very different from when we developed from our common ancestor with the apes. Eventually the apes will evolve into something, but probably a comlpetely new species

      Hello! Well, if you mean apes that are present on the earth right now then it’s possible, in theory, that they could evolve into humans but I think that would take many, many years. Evolution depends on need – if there was a need for apes to evolve then they probably would but this would happen very slowly.
