• Question: Why do cats always land on their feet?

      their backbones are incredibly flexible, so they can twist their bodies into position as they’re falling through the air so that their feet are facing downwards

      Something to do with their flexibilty and balance. They can sort themselves out as they fly through the air 🙂

      cats do not have a collar bone and their spine is quite bendy and this allows them to turn easily. However they do usually land on their feet not always..

      Hello again! Cats always land on their feet because they have a special reflex that puts the cat in the right position – this develops very early on about 3 weeks after birth. I must say though that I have seen my cat fall on it’s back once – it fell off a table!
