Hello hon! Good question! In fact, the brain can sort of ‘eat’ because it consumes energy in the form of glucose which is a sugar. The brain needs energy to send messages around the body and to control our organs like the heart, liver, lungs, and kidneys. If the brain could not consume energy (like glucose) it wouldn’t be able to work properly and the person would faint!
