0 Question: is electricity a solid, liquid or gas ? Asked by leah to Fiona, Jane, Joanna, Michelle, William on 14 Jun 2010 in Categories: General.
Fiona Randall answered on 14 Jun 2010:
Hello Leah! Electricity isn’t any of them-electricity is the flow of electrons which are negative ions.
Michelle Murphy answered on 14 Jun 2010:
Great question! Electricity is a movement of electrons which can happen in a solid, liquid or gas. It’s sort of like wind, a movement of air. So by itself electricity doesn’t really have a physical state.
Joanna Brooks answered on 14 Jun 2010:
Hey! It is technically a flow of electrons – I guess it is closer to a gas than a solid or liquid.
