Question: if you had the option of making a world changing scientific discovery or get universal recogniton for something you made up

  A world changing discovery as long as it was benificial for people or generally for the good. I wouldn’t like to make a a world changing discovery that would make it rain every day or release a disease that make people sneeze continously for days or turned people into trolls. Unfortunately If you made a discovery that big it would probably get you recognition wither you wanted it or not. What kind of discovery would you like to make?
