Probably particle physics, as there’s going to be some hugely important results coming out from the Large Hadron Collider project over the next few years

      Great question Katherine!
I really liked Chemistry at school, lots of pretty colours but I found it kinda tough to get my head around at times. I shared a house with two astronomers a few years ago so I would have to say astronomy. I find it really interesting that there are new stars and planets being created all the time and some are really dinky and really, really far away. I think the fact people can study stuff so far away and learn so much about them from here is amazing.

I’d probably work in stem cell research, and look for ways to cure spinal cord injuries. One of my closest mates had a car accident and is now in a wheelchair and I’d really like to speed up the cure for this terrible type of injury that can happen to anyone.

Hello, good question. I think I would like to work in physics – exploring how lasers can be used in medicine. A laser emits light at specialised wavelengths – sometimes you can’t even see the light – and certain lasers can be used to help deactivate cancer cells in the body.
