Hello again! Smoking is very bad for you and can damage the lungs, heart, and even the brain. But if a person only tries it a few times the damage will be small and I think this damage can be reversed because the body is very good at healing itself.

yes smoking is bad for you even being around other people who are smoking is bad for you. The main problem is that chemicals inhaled can clog up your lungs (like the volcanoes ash was doing to airplane engines) and this reduces how much oxygen you can get to your brain and the rest of your body. If your lungs are still developing as a small child or before you are born these chemicals can stop your lungs fully growing and again this mens you can absorb less oxygen. The best thing to do is to not smoke or stop smoking (if you are trying it). It has been liked to lung cancers too but this can also be genetic and not everyone who smokes will get ill because of it. I wouldn’t be prepared to take the risk though! Would you?

Smoking a few times is not so bad. Continual smoking clogs your lungs with a tarry substance. When you stop smoking, over time the lung can undo a lot of the damage.

I doubt it. Some scientists think that small doses of toxins (such as cigarette tar, radioactivity, etc.) might actually help keep your body’s protection mechanisms active. If smoke regularly as a child, it will have a much larger effect than if you are an adult, because it can interfere with the development of tissues, and also the harmful compunds will not be diluted so much as in an adult’s larger body

Smoking causes damage to your alveoli which are the little bags where oxygen takes place in your lungs. This damage doesn’t replace but most damage is done from smoking over a long time. We all had a sneaky cigarette in our youth I’m sure and I am still here to tell the tale although I wouldn’t encourage anyone to try it. It stinks, it makes your breath smell and damages your lungs, as well as being filled with highly addictive nicotine, and cancer-causing chemicals. Plus it ages your skin. So just don’t 😉
