Hello again! I think that religion and science often contradict one another. The main point is that science believes life and human beings evolved from nature – from the Big Bang for example when the universe was just energy which exploded to form planets, time, space, and ‘matter’ (us). But religion believes that God or a Higher Being created the universe and everything in it. These two views really contradict one another and cause huge arguments all over the world.

I personally like to believe that there is room for both – that maybe there was a Big Bang but also that there is a Higher Being. As a scientist I think it is important to remain open to all possibilities! Who knows what we will discover in the future?

For me religion and science are completely separate. Science is about facts and for something to be science there has to be evidence for it and the theories behind how things work must be proved. Religion is faith. There doesn’t need to be any hard evidence for it and it is a personal decision to choose what you believe. 🙂
