Hello again! Many people think that identical twins can read one another’s minds. Identical twins develop from the same egg which means they have very similar genetic codes – more similar than non-identical twins that come from different eggs. However, identical twins in particular have often been treated differently from non-twin brothers and sisters – their parents may have dressed them the same and they may have been in the same class at school and had the same friends. For this reason, it is possible that twins are just better at picking up on each other’s non-verbal body language (like facial expressions for example) because they spend so much time together but they don’t actually read one another’s mind.

Hi Eggy169, it is unlikely they can actually read each others minds, but having so many shared common experiences they probably can know what the other is thinking and have similar views on things or at least an understanding of what the other would think about something.

No. They probably know what one another is thinking as a result of shared experiences and knowing how each other has behaved in the past
