And the winner is…

The students have spoken. The votes have been counted and the moment has finally arrived for us to announce this year’s winner of I’m a Scientist, Get me out of Here! After two weeks of hot debate, stimulating chat and mind-boggling facts, the students have decided the winner in this zone is…

Joanna Brooks

Congratulations Joanna! The students have voted you their favourite scientist and most worthy of the £500 prize to communicate your science work.

Hard luck to Fiona and thank you to all the other scientists who took part, you were all brilliant and each and every single one of you has contributed to the great success of this year’s event.

Well done Joanna and good luck with your workshops (or however you decide to spend the money).

Hi everyone! Wow thanks so much to everyone who voted for me! It΄s the first time I have ever won anything and it means a lot! It was so much fun answering all your questions and I΄m really looking forward to doing Brain workshops at your schools – I already have it all planned!

It΄s also been really great meeting the other scientists too – I hope we can all keep in touch.

Thanks so much again – I΄m really happy!

    xxx

Well done Joanna! The workshops are going to be great!

This is really became my favourite zone because there’s been such interesting questions, and such detailed responses. Nor did Brain scientists let time differences, vacations, wet tar roads, early morning conferences, connection issues, or busy research prevent there being a regular stream of high quality answers and lots of participation in chat. It’s been great, and I wish everyone well in their research 😀
